In one such incident, a woman who works as a volunteer in Andhra Pradesh is staying away from her husband due to some issues. Seeing that the government is giving widow pensions to women, she came up with the idea to kill his husband on paper.
As she works as a volunteer and knows the officials there, she managed to get the death certificate without any issue. Adding a twist to the tale, her husband got to know about this and informed the authorities not to give her the pension amount.
The husband got to know that a death certificate was issued against him as his name was removed from the family ration card, he went to the authorities and urged them to not accept what his wife said.
When the husband wanted to apply for the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme, which gives Rs 6,000 per year on an installment basis, his application was rejected. This made him curious and after reaching the Tahasildar's office, he got to know what happened to him.
