Voter ID Cards In India To Go Through A Massive Transformation!

For quite some time, the discussion over Jamili elections, that pushes the 'One nation -One election" idea is going on in India. From national leaders to regional leaders, many leaders have spoken about the Jamili elections.
Amid this, it is believed that the Election Commission of India (ECI) is thinking to digitalise the Voter Identity Card like the Aadhaar card. The digitalisation process will start very soon.
It is believed that the process will kick start once the Election Commission of India (ECI) gives its nod for the digitalise facility for the voters. While the voters who register for their voter ID will get the digitalized ID cards, the old voter IDs should be digitalized.
Reports claimed that the proposed digital version of the Electors Photo Identity Card (EPIC) will come with two different QR codes. While one QR code holds the details of the voter's name, the other code will have the other details of the voters.
The new facility will help the voters who have shifted to other places and applied at new voter ID centers based on their new address. The facility will also help the voters who have lost their voter IDs.
It has been widely reported that the digitalisation process of voter IDs will be started in five states as a pilot project. The same plan will be extended to other states gradually.
