Voting on Telangana Bill underway in Rajya Sabha

Rajya Sabha Speaker announced that the discussion has been over on T-bill and he started Voting on the amendments. Seemandhra MPs raises slogans against Telangana Bill and tears the copies of the Bill

While speaking PM Manmohan announces special package for Seemandhra and he said it will be included in next year’s budget.

‘’ For purposes of central assistance, Special Category Status will be extended to the successor state of Andhra Pradesh comprising 13 districts, including the four districts of Rayalaseema and the three districts of north coastal Andhra for a period of five years. This will put the state's finances on a firmer footing’’ PM Manmohan Singh said

PM also announced a six-point development package for Seemandhra.Amendments moved to the clauses in the Telangana Bill amid uproar. Two of the amendments of BJP leader Venkaiah Naidu were rejected.
