VIP Treatment To Sasikala: Commission Report!

DIG (Prisons) D Roopa alleged AIADMK expelled General Secretary VK Sasikala Natarajan was provided VIP Treatment in Parappana Agrahara Central Prison in Bengaluru. She accused then Director General (Prisons) HN Satyanarayana Rao and prison officials of accepting bribe. All the evidence collected by her was submitted to the Home Department.
Anti-Corruption Bureau which was assigned the task to find out the truth in allegations shut sown the case on January 12th this year citing lack of evidence. Superintendent Kala Krishnaswamy confirmed the closure of the case.
Four months after the Vinay Kumar Commission submitted its report, Karnataka Government accepted it on February 26th. Details of the report were offered to media on March 1st.
As per the report, Commission sought fresh inquiry against Prison Officials Krishna Kumar and Anitha. Even a separate inquiry was recommended on the bribery allegations against ACB. The Bureau was accused of closing the case upon accepting bribe.
