By: Tupaki Desk | 24 Jan 2015 10:36 AM GMTUber, the mobile based cab-service firm, sending an email directly to the rape victim stating it has resumed its operations in Delhi again raised many eye-brows.
Douglas Wigdor, rape victim's lawyer, found fault with the management of Uber for its insensitive attitude. Although the counsel demanded Uber to make the rape victim a part of the consultation process to ensure no other such incident repeats in future, Uber didn't bother to pay heed to it at all. Now, Mr. Douglas says his client have no confidence that India-specific security measures of Uber will prevent rape.
A 26-Year-Old Woman Executive was raped by Uber Driver in New Delhi on December 6th, after which the services of the cab company were banned in Delhi and Hyderabad.
