When India is happy with the Tokyo Olympics journey, BCCI made its stand clear that India will play the tournament if Cricket is added to the tournament.
According to the national media, Jay Shah, BCCI Secretary said that they are with the ICC to incorporate Cricket in Olympics.
His statements came in the backdrop of media reports that says ICC kept the proposal of playing cricket at Olympics before the International Olympic Association to see that Cricket is made a part of 2028 Olympic edition.
Interestingly, cricket was played at the Summer Olympics in 1900 when there were two-day fixtures between Great Britain and France with the former winning the Gold. However, the talks of introducing cricket in the Olympics Games have resurfaced.
The fun fact is that 1900 Summer Olympics saw Cricket as one of the sports in the tournament. The match was played between Britain and France. In the match, Britian crushed France and bagged a gold.
