Andhra Pradesh DGP RP Thakur visited the spot where Maoists had gunned down Araku MLA Kidari Sarveswara Rao and Ex-MLA Siveri Soma in Livitiputtu of Dumbriguda Mandal. Intelligence wing DGP and Visakha SP accompanied him.
Speaking to media, DGP RP Thakur denied Police Department claiming there are no movements of Naxals in Visakha Agency and Araku. 'We have gathered information about those who took part in the operation. Stringent action would be taken against them. There are issues in Andhra-Odisha Border (AOB). On this incident, We would work with Odisha DGP RP Sharma,' he informed.
Cops have identified the people who offered shelter for Maoists in Dumbriguda Mandal. Already, Several Naxals were identified based on photographs and videos. Combing Operations has been continuing in Visakha Agency since the assassination of the Lawmaker.
