TRS MLA Harish Rao breathed fire at Union Minister Chiranjeevi who is a strong advocate of Samaikyandhra and demanding Union Territory status to Hyderabad. "We will slit the tongues of people whoever demands Hyderabad should be made Union Territory. Is Chiranjeevi out of his mind? He should explain who will be getting benefitted by making Hyderabad a Union Territory. Why did Hyderabad brothers Danam Nagendar and Mukesh Goud didn't react on Chiru's UT demand?," he fumed.
Harish Rao alleged that Lagadapati Rajagopal and Kavuri Sambasiva Rao have been demanding Union Territory status for the sake of assets they own in Hyderabad. He ridiculed Harikrishna for not attending Balakrishna's daughter wedding and preaching that all the Telugus should be united. He also accused Chandrababu Naidu of playing the resignation card to stall the process of division once again.
On Saturday, Sonia Gandhi reiterated that decision of Telangana is over and there is ongoing back on it. As High Command is firm on dividing the state, Union Ministers from Seemandhra have been trying desperately to achieve at least Union Territory status to Hyderabad
