Week Ahead Of MP Bypolls, Another Lawmaker Quits Congress

Congress MLA Rahul Singh has resigned from his post and wore Bharatiya Janata Party(BJP) shawl in the presence of Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan.
Shivraj Singh welcomed the leader and said leaders who work for development are always welcome in the party, unlike the Congress, media reports claimed.
His resignation came a week ahead of the polls in the state. He submitted his resignation letter to Protem Speaker Rameshwar Sharma. The speaker announced the news of accepting his resignation on Twitter.
A few days back, Congress MLA Narayan Patel, who represents the Mandhata constituency in Khandwa district has resigned from his post and joined the BJP.
