West Bengal Police department fell in bottleneck problems when they gave 12 principles for the women in that region to avoid teasing and rapes. Police department mentioned that girls shouldnt wear revealing clothes. They further stated that they should look traditional and
shouldnt roam on street at night.
Police department even suggesting women not to get into fully rushed buses or trains. They further mentioned few aspects which women rights organizations strongly opposed. This is a sensitive issue and hence the comments of the Police department turned into a nightmare for the department in West Bengal.
From the past few days, protests are going on in India that women has the right to wear whatever she wants and it is the attitude of rapists that should be changed. In this context, the comments of Police department turned controversial and the situation is now going far ahead.
