What Amaravati farmers can learn from Punjab farmers?

The Amaravati joint action committee, which is fighting against setting up of the executive capital in Vizag and judicial capital in Kurnool, is now all set to undertake a padayatra to Tirupati in support of its demands. The yatra would continue for 45 days. It would begin from Tulluru near Amaravati on November 1 and end in Tirupati. The JAC wants to cover 400 km in 45 days.
Sources said that farmers, farmhands, leaders of civil society organizations and political leaders would take part in the yatra. However, there are doubts as to whether this would be a successful effort. Since the matter is already sub-judice, whether there would be permission to continue with this yatra is not known. Will this be seen as a measure aimed at influencing the court?
Also, there is no agitation in support of Amaravati as the sole capital of the state anywhere except in the 28 villages of Amaravati area. There is no agitation either in Guntur or in Vijayawada, which are the closest cities. This agitation is being seen as a TDP supported movement and critics say that the YSRCP had registered handsome victories in all the 28 capital area villages in panchayat, MPTC and ZPTC elections.
The JAC would do very well to study the farmers agitation in North India and how it is being run for over a year. The farmers agitation is going on in several places of the north Indian states. The JAC too should first try to expand the agitation to areas outside Amaravati zone.
