What's Behind KCR's Criticism Of Central Financial Package?

Why did KCR, who is normally maintaining best of relations with the Centre, suddenly flare up and call Rs 20 lakh crore package unveiled by the Centre a bogus stimulus? Why did he make such nasty comments out of the blue?
Sources say this has to do with the problems the BJP is creating for him in Telangana. The BJP has raked up Pothireddypadu issue and put the TRS government in a spot. After all, allocation of water was one of the main issues during the Telangana movement. The BJP not just raised the issue, but has taken to the social media to attack the TRS big time. Not just that, it also questioned the small number of tests conducted in Telangana for Corona cases. Soon after the BJP took up the issue, the Central Health Ministry has sent a strongly worded letter questioning the smaller number of Corona tests in the state. Etela Rajender has ignored the letter in the past.
All these must have weighed heavily in the minds of the TRS boss when he suddenly flared up against the Central government's package. KCR also feels that by attacking the Central Government on the package, he can divert the attention from the Pothireddypadu water diversion issue, where he is being seen as compromising the interests of Telangana.
