Now we know why Rahul Gandhi is struggling to convince the seniors in the party to make way for the junior leaders. The other day, the activists of the Congress student wing NSUI organised a 'Chalo Pragathi Bhavan' rally without much ado and stormed the Pragathi Bhavan. They took the police by surprise and achieved their objective.
Herein lies a lesson for the Congress seniors. They have been announcing Chalo Pragathi Bhavan once too often. They are making a huge affair of this. The police arrest them even before they set out. So, the protests fizzle out even before they begin. In the end, the whole affair becomes some sort of a joke. The youth workers on the other hand organised the protest in utter secrecy and surprised both the ruling party and the security establishment.
Many feel the Congress seniors who revel in speaking to the TV channels should take a leaf or two from their young batch and begin waging serious war against the TRS government. Mere media statements won't do, say Congress watchers.
