Entering foreign locations is not that easy and it takes a lot of procedures that need to be followed. With the massive rise in the number of aspirants who want to go abroad, the immigration offices are seeing a flood of applications, and the time it takes for the visa to get approved also increased largely.

As of now, the waiting period for the visa application to get processed is more than one year. Even after the man force at the immigration offices was increased, the waiting period has not come down. It is known that a lot of students and employees have a dream of moving to the land of opportunities, the United States.

Due to the long delay in the immigration process, Indians are opting for other ways to get to the United States and other countries in illegal ways. The chances of going there are very less given the tight security.

The rise in the practice of donkey flight which is used to call an illegal way of getting into foreign nations is such that more than 16,000 people were caught at the US border. They were taken into custody by the US Customs and Border Patrol while trying to land in America via Mexico.

Such a process is bringing a bad name to India. Indians are caught at the border. Even if they manage to go to America, they have to face a lot of issues there as carrying ID proofs is a must there. Patrolling cops ask for ID proof if they find anyone suspicious.

If they cannot show their proof, they will be produced before the court, and based on the sections, they might have to face serious punishment too. If they are fortunate, the courts might order the authorities to send them to India.

Every time the courts cannot order the same and few might have to spend the rest of their lives in prisons in the United States. The situation in India is also said to be one of the reasons behind aspirants taking a big risk. Their path to the US in illegal ways is a hard one and people are often attacked and killed. In some incidents, a few women were reportedly sexually assaulted.
