Former Congress leader DK Aruna who is known for her fierce and aggressive nature back then in the Congress party interestingly became silent and calm quite a contrast to her natural behavior.
Recently she raised her voice against the problems faced by women in society. This left party leaders and political circles on what's the reason behind her change in behavior.
Looking back at her political career, she worked as a Minister in the combined AP state before the bifurcation of the state. With the change of political scenario after the division, she joined the saffron party.
She contested from Mahabub Nagar on BJP seat as MP but failed to win the elections. Interestingly, after Disha's case, she became very active and vocal about the brutal incident.
She met the family members of Disha's family and consoled them. Not only that, along with women morcha members she met the family of Mamata, who was raped in Komaram Bheem Asifabad district.
The saffron party is gearing up for local body elections, will also get a new president for the state Reportedly. It has been reported that Aruna became active in state and party affairs just to be in the good looks of the party.
In the list of President role aspirants, she is next to Lakshman. Reportedly, she is lobbying for the post.
