What Is The Reason Behind The Murder Of Vijaya Reddy?
By: Tupaki Desk | 5 Nov 2019 9:02 AM GMTIn a horrifying incident, a man reportedly burnt lady Tahsildar Vijaya Reddy while she was still alive in her office in Abdullapurmet in Rangareddy which is located 40 kilometers from the city.
Mahesh Muralidhar Bhagwat, Rachakonda police commissioner said that a man went to Ms. Vijaya Reddy around 1 p.m. and poured petrol on her. She cried for help and collapsed outside her chamber in flames. Office staff came to rescue her but their efforts went in vain. Her colleagues covered her with a carpet after seeing her body being burnt very badly.
According to Bhagwat, she died on the spot in the incident and two others had serious burn injuries. A man who was believed to be the attacker visited the Abdullapurment police station and said injustice was done to him. Immediately, he too was rushed to the hospital.
Bhagwant said that they have identified the assailant as Kurra Suresh, resident of Gowrelli village. Reportedly, Suresh said that he and his brother have a dispute over a 7-acre land they own. The case is being heard in High Court.
Bhagwat said that they will try to seek the help of fast track court in this case and expecting a capital punishment for the accused.
The enraged revenue employees have staged a protest outside the Abdullapurmet Tahsildar office demanding justice.
