After coming to power, YSRCP supremo YS Jagan Mohan Reddy had launched many flagship schemes including the doorstep delivery of quality rice to the beneficiaries. To deliver the rice for the beneficiaries, the government arranged special bags that can hold five and ten kilos of rice. The Andhra Pradesh government spent crores of rupees on the bags alone.

The government had decided to equip the ration shops with special bags so that the beneficiaries won’t complain of getting less rice than the ration they have been allotted to as per the scheme.

Now the special bags are in news for one more time as the bags that were prepared for the rice scheme after they were spotted in another state, not one or two but in the bulk count. The issue came to light when a person, who went to another state had spotted them and took videos of the bags.

Going into details, a few people who hail from Andhra Pradesh recently visited the holy shrine of Lord Ayyappa in Sabarimala. On the way to the famous temple, the Telugu people spotted Jagananna Rice scheme bags at a shop in Guruvayur in God’s own country Kerala.

The special bags that have the pictures of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and his father Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy, the former Chief Minister of the combined Andhra Pradesh was spotted at a shop. The bags were being sold at Rs 100 per piece at the shops.

Wondering what the bags that were meant for the Andhra Pradesh’s scheme beneficiaries are doing in Malayalam state Kerala, they have recorded the bags at the shop. In no time, the videos went viral on social media and started a new debate on why the bags were sent to Kerala. The videos took social media like a storm.

Earlier the government said, for the bags, as much as Rs 38 crore was spent. We have to wait and see if the state government will step in to the issue and call for an inquiry to know why the bags that were made to benefit the beneficiaries of the schemes were spotted being sold in Kerala.
