What's The Situation Of TDP In Chandrababu's Own District?
By: Tupaki Desk | 6 May 2023 11:56 PM ISTTDP chief Chandrababu Naidu is constantly saying that he would come to power. He is sending messages that development and Vision 2047 would be his agenda for the elections. The Assembly elections are dependent on the candidates at the ground level. If the candidates are strong and have public opinion, then they have a high chance of winning.
But that is not the case with TDP in many districts. If we take combined Chittoor, which is the own district of Chandrababu Naidu, the TDP candidates won the elections for three terms. Including Chandragiri, the party did not win elections in any seat since 1999. Galla Aruna won the elections there from the Congress party.
She was given a ticket in 2014. But she could not win the elections. YCP won the seat in 2014 and 2019. Kuppam is the only region where the TDP has been winning the elections consecutively.
This has become problematic for the TDP. There are six key Assembly seats in the Chittoor district. The TDP did not win the seats in the past three elections.
Gangadhara Nellore(SC),Putalapattu(SC) Chandragiri, Pileru, Madanapalle, and Punganuru. TDP was somewhat strong in these areas. But things turned upside down with the emergence of the YSRCP. Former CM Nallari Kiran Kumar Reddy's brother Kishore Kumar is in charge of Pileru for the party.
However, he is coming out. The other regions also have similar scenes. Minister Roja is very active in Nagari. Looking at these factors we have to say that the Cycle party is not that strong there
