What's behind TRS' astrologer's comment on Kavitha?

An interesting comment made by the almanac reader during the Ugadi Panchanga Sravanam at Pragathi Bhavan is now the talk of the town. Almanac reader and well-known pro-TRS astrologer Bachampalli Santosh Kumar Sastry said that 'hard-working women politicians' will be suitably rewarded in this year. Political watchers say that Sastry was hinting at KCR's daughter Kavitha Kalwakuntla being made a member of the cabinet.
Some are even going to the extent of saying that Sastry was made to mouth these dialogues by the powers that be. Kavitha Kalwakuntla, who has been in political wilderness after her shock defeat to Aravind Dharmapuri from Nizamabad Lok Sabha seat in 2019, has been made an MLC in the local body constituency quota. But, since then, she has not been given a ministry.
Sources say Kavitha is unhappy with this and has not greeted brother KCR on the occasion of the Rakhi Bandhan festival. Though she has been asked to focus on the coal belt union elections, she did not do that. All these, according to political observers, are meant to show her dissatisfaction at not being made a minister.
Sources say KCR could induct her into the ministry now to mollify her. But, if that happens, KCR clearly might not want to go for snap polls by the end of this year. So, observers feel, Sastry's announcement is an indication that KCR has no immediate plans to advance the polls in Telangana.
