WhatsApp nearly crashed on New Year's Eve

The popular messaging app 'WhatsApp' gave a jolt to its users on Thursday with temporary outage. On the eve of New Year, Whatsapp users faced inconvenience as the messaging app remained down for 45 Minutes
The app couldn't connect to the internet, even if the user had a working mobile or Wi-Fi connection. Some people also complained that their messages aren't reaching the desired people.The problem has affected American, Canadian and European residents mostly.
The service has generated an error message that said: 'WhatsApp Web requires a working internet connection, which you don't have at the moment.'
As it was the first time many of the whatsapp users thought that the problem would have been with their phone or network. But a spokesperson said that WhatApp has been temporarily went down and apologised for causing inconvenience its users.
