When Back-Stabber Get Backstabbed

Chandrababu Naidu is famed for back-stabbing. Today, he finds himself back-stabbed by his own people. It was through back-stabbing that he usurped TDP from NTR. Today, the back-stabbers are leaving the party in drones, leaving nothing but an empty package called TDP. Ironically, Chandrababu backstabbed when NTR was on a tour of Srikakulam. Chandrababu is being backstabbed when he is on a tour of Europe. When Chandrababu usurped TDP from NTR, the latter was left with just 10 MLAs. Today too, if the BJP takes away a significant portion of the sitting MLAs, Chandrababu may be left with no more than 10 MLAs.
Those leaving the party have planned their exit so meticulously that it is not a defection, but a merger. It all happened within an hour. The moment Chandrababu left the shores of India, these people shifted gears and changed parties. Of the six Rajya Sabha members, four left the party. The two remaining MPs might fly away anytime soon. If that happens,, there would be no TDP MPs left in Rajya Sabha. In the Lok Sabha, there are three MPs and each is going his way. Kesineni Nani has already launched broadsides on Chandrababu and could join the BJP any time. Similarly, Galla Jaidev might switch sides to protect business interests. Chandrababu knows that Rammohan Naidu might switch sides anytime. So, he offered the state level working president’s post to him. If sources are to be believed, Rammhan Naidu might defect after becoming the party president. That will heap more infamy on the already beleaguered party. Meanwhile, there are reports that Ganta Srinivasa Rao may form a group of five MLAs to lead discussions with the BJP on merger.
