Where Are 23000 Quarantined People Hiding?

Know what's the biggest challenge facing the government these days in fighting Corona? It's not the shortage of beds, lack of medicines and absence of medical infrastructure. It's the behaviour of the patients. The authorities in Karnataka are vouching for this.
In Karnataka alone, as many as 23000 people have given false addresses and have dodged quarantine procedures. When the authorities told them to home quarantine themselves, they gave false addresses. Now the authorities are unable to trace them. According to the government estimates, in Bengaluru urban district alone, there are over 69297 people under home quarantine. However, when the authorities tried to reach them, they could trace only 46113 persons. As many as 23184 persons could not be traced. It is only to identify these people that the Karnataka has imposed a fresh lockdown.
While a hue and cry is being raised about the spiralling of corona cases, the people are showing scant regard to their own health and are endangering the lives of others. It's time that such culprits are brought to book and action is taken against them.
