Where is the 125-feet tall Ambedkar statue?

Where is the much-publicised 125-feet Ambedkar statue that KCR had promised in 2016? After becoming CM, KCR had promised to set up a 125 feet tall statue of Ambedkar near the NTR park on the Lower Tank Bund. It has been five years, the work has not moved one inch beyond files and documents.
The TRS Government had then promised that the statue would be unveiled by April 14, 2017. A committee has been constituted for this purpose under the chairpersonship of the then deputy chief minister Kadiyam Srihari. The committee had toured Mizoram and Sikkim for the purpose. It had even gone to China. Later, a design was prepared and a budget amounting to Rs 146.50 crore was finalized. Since then, nothing moved forward. The last time the committee met was in 2017. So, the much-touted Ambedkar statue is a mere pipedream even five years after it was dandily announced.
Sources in the government are claiming that even AP and Uttar Pradesh governments had announced similar statues for Dr Ambedkar. All of them are in limbo, pointed out a TRS leader. He says that statue may be delayed as there is a fund crunch in the state. He also said that covid restrictions are in place and large-scale construction may not be possible.
