The novel Coronavirus is spreading its deadly wings in India as the fresh cases are mounting day by day. Fatality sin connection with the respiratory disease is also an area of concern with the toll racing near 60,000-mark.

The fatality rate of the Coronavirus in the currently stood at 1.58 percent. This translates to every three people succumbing to the contagious disease in every 200 infected people.

As per the information of the age group of the people who lost their lives people between the age group of 60-74 are most vulnerable to the virus as 39 percent of them succumbed to the virus.

Middle-aged people that belong to the age group of 45-59 are in the next spot in the list with as many as 32 percent of Coronavirus patients breathing their last breath battling the virus.

Coronavirus patients above the age group of 70 and patients between the age group of 15-44 are less vulnerable as both the age groups have a fatality rate of 14 percent which increased gradually.

In the last 24 hours, India reported as many as 67,151 fresh cases, and the total cases mounted to 32,34,475. So far, 2,467,758 patients have been recovered, while the active cases stood at 7,07,267.
