He floated a political party ahead of the 2014 General Elections but failed miserably in winning the faith of the Seemandhra people. In the last moment, He decided not to contest the polls anticipating the defeat. Post elections, Kiran was seen no where and took a break from political affairs.
Recently, The Former Chief Minister was seen playing Golf. A North Indian who was present there questioned Kiran about his occupation. Upon seeing Kiran keeping mum, He repeated his question again, 'What do you do for a living?'. The Telugu People present in the location left the place, upon knowing how much embarrassment does the query caused to Kiran Kumar Reddy.
A year ago, There were speculations about Kiran Kumar Reddy's entry into BJP. However, Kiran sent an indication that he is in no need to hurry up by playing the wait game.
