Appointment of Poonam Kaur as the Brand Ambassador (Handlooms) of Andhra Pradesh by the TDP Government was completely unexpected. Then Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu took the decision after receiving word-of-praise from the Faded Actress at an event held in Visakhapatnam.
What came as a surprise to many is the endorsement of handlooms by Poonam Kaur even after change of Government in AP. On the National Handlooms Day, Poonam shared a saree-clad picture on her social media handle. She could be seen draping a saree over a t-shirt for just a click. In the recent months, The former Actress kept sharing pictures shot when she met prominent personalities across the World. Was she doing it as AP Ambassador?
These activities of Poonam Kaur made people wonder if she is still the Brand Ambassador of AP. Majority of the appointments happened during TDP Rule expired the moment YCP got hold of the power. YCP Government need to take the decision on brand ambassador of the state at the earliest to rule out scope for any such confusion.
