Why Adireddy Bhavani's Vote Became Invalid?

Chandrababu Naidu received a shock of life when Rajahmundry MLA Adireddy Bhavani went against the party diktat and her vote was invalid. It is unlikely that wife of MLC Adireddy Apparao, who is also daughter of late Yerran Naidu does not know how to cast her vote. Yet, her vote became invalid. Why? This is the topic of hot discussion now.
Chandrababu had put up Varla Ramaiah as a candidate for Rajya Sabha knowing fully well that he does not have the votes. The idea was to expose the rebel MLAs and apply anti-defection law on them. But, he did not bargain for Adireddy Bhavani's action. Perhaps, Bhavani was expressing her anger at the arrest of her paternal uncle Atchen Naidu and was protesting against the way Chandrababu Naidu handled it. Bhavani's action, analysts feel, is indicative of the Atchen Naidu family's disenchantment with Chandrababu Naidu.
Chandrababu has exposed his own weakness by putting up Varla Ramaiah. In the end, it turned out that he has the support of only 17 of the 23 MLAs. One MLA did not vote saying that he is in a quarantine. This has showed himself as a poor strategist.
