Why are YSRCP leaders from these districts jittery about capital city issue?
By: Tupaki Desk | 14 Dec 2021 7:24 PM ISTOne great thing in the YSRCP is that all the MLAs are on one page. They speak in one voice. Unlike the TDP, where the leaders from different regions speak differently on the issue of three capitals, the YSRCP leaders in one voice support the three-capitals. The YSRCP has also got the bills pertaining to the three-capitals passed in the right earnest in the Assembly.
Even after so much hullabaloo the YSRCP is unflinching on the issue of three-capitals. The TDP is now trying to mobilize public opinion in favor of only Amaravati as the capital. Now, Amaravati farmers too are organizing a yatra titled âfrom Nyaya Sthanam to Devasthanam '' to Tirupati on the issue of Amaravati as capital of AP.
The YSRCP MPs, MLAs and ministers in one voice are supporting three capitals. Even the YSRCP leaders from Krishna and Guntur districts are fully in support of the three capital proposals. Bu, will these MLAs from Krishna and Guntur, where Amravati is located, go from door to door to canvas in support of three capitals? Unlikely say those in the know.
In these two districts, the YSRCP may have won the municipal and local body elections. But, the public mood is completely in favor of Amaravati as the capital. Even the MLAs of this region are cagey about going to the people on this issue. The response that the farmers yatra is getting has unnerved them. There is news that the farmers are going to take up another yatra to Simhachalam. Given all these, the YSRCP leaders are feeling jittery.
