Why BJP's Only MLA Did Not Want To Attend Assembly Session?
By: Tupaki Desk | 8 Sept 2020 11:51 AM ISTHe is the only MLA that the BJP has in both the Telugu states. He represents Goshamahal in the Old City. He is a firebrand. He is a loudmouth. But, MLA Rajasingh Lodha is angry with his own party so much so that he has refused to attend the assembly sessions in Telangana.
Raja Singh was unhappy that state party president Bandi Sanjay did not oblige him on party committee formation. Not one of the names he suggested was included in the list of the office-bearers. What more, even within the six divisions that come under his constituency, the presidents were not of his choice. He was bypassed in the selections. So, the MLA was palpably angry and decided not to attend the Assembly sessions in protest.
It was only after lot of cajoling by the party leadership that Raja Singh finally relented. Theparty leaders went to him and placated him. He demanded that a person of his choice should be made the president of the Golconda division. The party leadership finally agreed to his demand. It was only after this demand was met that Raja Singh came to the party office on Saturday last and met party president Bandi Sanjay.
He met top leaders including city president N Ramachandra Rao and state organizing secretary Mantri Srinivasulu at the party office and later had a meeting with Bandi Sanjay. Now, one can see the portly presence of Raja Singh in the Assembly.
