Why both TDP, YSRCP are earning praise?

Analysts and pundits are praising both Chandrababu Naidu and YS Jagan these days. Strange but true. BothChandrababu and YS Jagan have set a new trend in the Tirupati bypolls by not 'buying' votes. They have not given any allurements to get votes.
In fact, Tirupati Parliamentary bypolls are unique in that all the main political parties have decided to do away with the practice of giving money for voting. It is being said that both the leaders have independently taken a decision not to distribute money. They did give money to the volunteers and party activists . They also paid money to those who are incharges of the polling booths. But, they did not give money to the voters. This is a unique achievement indeed.
In fact, even the BJP, the third force in the election, too did not give money. This is a welcome development and the voter will exercise his right to vote purely on the basis of merits and no other consideration. It is another matter that the voting percentage has dropped by 20 per cent over the 2019 elections. Yet, this is a good augury that money power was not used in the Tirupati bypolls. Hence political observers and analysts are praising both the parties.
