KCR & Patnaik Back Jamili Polls! Why Not CBN?
By: Tupaki Desk | 27 Jun 2018 4:00 AM GMTParties which are confident of victory in next elections are favorable to the Jamili Elections proposal of PM Narendra Modi. While AP Government is reluctant for Early Polls, CMs of other states have been happy with it.
Recently, Telangana CM K Chandrasekhar Rao appealed party leaders and cadre to prepare for elections which could happen by the end of 2018. He declared TRS would win 100-plus seats whenever elections might happen.
On the other hand, BJP Chief and Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik who is in power for 3-terms at a stretch extended support to the Jamili Elections. 'We are elected to serve the people. Conducting Elections throughout the year will create hurdles for development works. So, We are favouring Jamili Elections,' he said while speaking to reporters.
CM's Son Nara Lokesh questioned what is the need for preponing the Assembly Polls when people had given a mandate for 5 years. Then, Why did Chandrababu Naidu preferred early polls in 2004?
