Why Congress Seniors Are Upset With Manickam Tagore?

The Congress seniors are very upset over the working style of party affairs incharge Manickam Tagore. They are unhappy over his consultations with the party leaders working at various levels.
Till now, the party affairs incharge used to talk to four or five leaders and send a report to the high command. Based on this, the high command would discuss the issue in the core committees and then make the formal announcement. The state level leaders had the opportunity to overturn the decisions taken by the incharge even at the last minute.
But now, Manickam Tagre has held discussions at various levels. In fact, he had discussed the issue at 18 levels and personally spoke to as many as 162 persons. As a result, all important leaders have been consulted and this leaves no scope whatsoever to leverage one's proximity to the high command and overturn the decision.
This definitely is not to the liking of the old-timers. These are upset over the wider consultations as this means loss of leverage for them. They have already tried to take the issue to the notice of the high command. Sadly for them, Sonia and Rahul are currently in Goa not Delhi and are refusing to met anyone. Key interlocutors like Ahmed Patel are no more.
