Why Did Comedian Ali Go To BJP Office?

Ace comedian Ali created a flutter by suddenly materialising in the national headquarters of the BJP in Delhi. He met several BJP leaders and finally had a one-on-one with Union Minister and former AP incharge Prakash Javadekar. This has created quite a flutter in the film and political circles of the Telugu states as Ali has recently campaigned vigorously for the YSRCP in the last assembly elections. He had also fallen out with his long-time friend Pawan Kalyan on this issue.
However, Ali clarified that he had met Javadekar only to seek environmental clearance for a film titled 'Yeh Hollywood Hai'. He said there was no question of leaving the YSRCP and joining the BJP. He said he had to meet Javadekar in the national headquarters of the BJP only because he was given an appointment at that time. Javadekar's staff told him to meet the minister in the BJP headquarters. He has some friends in the BJP and hence called on them as they too were in the office at that time. There is nothing more to it, he clarified.
The speculations about Ali's possible joining the BJP forced the comedian to specially call for a press conference in the Andhra Bhavan to clarify on his visit to the BJP office. Ali, who was originally with Pawan Kalyan, had joined the YSRCP and campaigned for the party in the assembly elections of 2019.
