Why did Telangana CM KCR call for an emergency meeting of his ministers at his farmhouse? What's the real story behind the sudden meeting? Why did this meeting take place after TRS working president KTR has gone abroad on an official tour and another key minister Niranjan Reddy is out of station?
On Saturday afternoon, KCR suddenly called for a meeting at his farm house and called all available ministers and even top civil servants. The suddenness of the meeting has set off speculations as to whether KCR is planning to hold elections by December-end this year. In 2017 too, he had a sudden meeting and then decided to go for a snap poll.
Sources said that implementation of the Dalit Bandhu scheme could be the reason for the sudden meeting. However, political observers discount this theory. They feel that if this was the reason for the meeting, why should it be so sudden. The meeting could have taken place in the presence of KTR, who after all is the working president of the party.
Some sources say that KCR is upset with the clash between the BJP and the TRS right inside the police station in Yellareddypet of Sircilla district. After all, Sircilla is KTR's borough and the BJP attacking the TRS cadres and damaging the house of the district TRS president's house is no mean deal. He is said to have been shocked by the belligerence of the BJP workers. He has taken a serious view of this incident. Hence, most of the ministers called were from former Karimnagar district.
