Why did Komatireddy rush back to Delhi in just 6 hours?
By: Tupaki Desk | 21 Jun 2021 10:19 AM GMTTelangana PCC chief post aspirant Komatireddy Venkat Reddy's sudden return to Delhi has become the talk of the town. Reddy, who was in Delhi for the last four days intensely lobbying for the post, came to Hyderabad on Sunday. Soon after coming to Hyderabad, he had a three-hour long one-on-one with current PCC chief Uttam Kumar Reddy. From Uttam Reddy's house, he drove straight to Sharshabad airport and left for Hyderabad
It is this sudden departure that is being hotly debated. Questions are being raised as why Venkat Reddy suddenly left for Delhi? Why did he have to go back soon after coming from there? Did he get some important feeler from the high command? What actually transpired at the meeting with Uttam Kumar Reddy? Sources say that during his earlier stay in Delhi, Komatireddy had some straight forward questions for party high command. He is said to have asked AICC general secretary Venu Gopal as to why was there such inordinate delay in appointing the PCC chief. He is also said to have a chat with Telangana affairs incharge Manickam Tagore and is said to have given a piece of his mind. Hence, his sudden departure to Delhi assumes significance
Meanwhile, the Revanth Reddy camp is keenly watching these developments. Revanth too is a strong claimant for the PCC chief post. Revanth Reddy too is currently in Delhi to lobby for the post. Heightened political activity is mainly due to the interest that the high command is showing in appointing a PCC chief in Telangana
