By means of everything, he as a creative director Sekhar Kammula first time depended on other person for writing. Sekhar met the writer Yandamuri Veerendranath and asked him to write the script for 'Kahani' remake. We know that Sekhar is planning to remake the movie Kahani in telugu. Because of the delay in selecting the heroine the movie is also being delayed. At first, he thought Anushka, later Lakshmi prasanna was planned as heroine. But he finalised Nayanatara. For this movie Sekhar did a definite plan. He changed the backdrop of kolkata as Hyderabad old city. The reason why Sekhar had selected Yandamuri for writing the script is, because Yandamuri is expert in writing suspense thrillers.

At the time of Leader movie they met each other in train and Sekhar felt of working with him. Now Sekhar says that his dream is going to be fulfilled. Sekhar said that he is having another wish to make a sequel to Leader by the election time of 2014. It may be or may not be. But Sekhar Have to keep one thing in his mind. Some movie experts expressed that Sekhar Kammula haven't dealt 'Leader' well. So its better if he work a bit hard for the sequel
