Why Did TDP's NRI Friends Release This Video Clip

The TDP is trying everything it can to show that everything is right in the party. It wants to show that despite the crushing defeat and despite the defections, the party chief is unfazed. The party is going out of the way to convince the people that everything is normal in the party. To prove it, the American friends of the TDP are circulating a clip of Chandrababu taking a stroll in the US while munching popcorn. The clip shows Chandrababu chatting away happily with the party? workers and the NRI supporters. Chandrababu appears in a relaxed mood and is seen smiling repeatedly.
The TDP is now tormented by desertions from the party. Several key leaders have left the party to join the BJP. Also, the party has performed poorly in the assembly debates. Many lower level party workers are dispirited and have kept away from the party affairs. Given this situation, Chandrababu needs to show that he is unfaced and courageous in the face of these challenges.
But, will videos be able to turn around the TDP fortunes? Will they be able to stem the tide? It's anybody's guess.
