Why does Balineni want NTR to lead TDP?

It seems Junior NTR has fans not just in the TDP, but also in the YSRCP. Minister and senior YSRCP leader Balineni Srinivasa Reddy on Friday said that it the TDP is to be saved from falling into an abyss, then NTR should take over reins of the party. Though he said the family members of late NTR should take reins, he meant only Junior NTR .
His logic is clear. Though Nandamuri Balakrishna is in politics and is an MLA for two terms, his first preference is films. Another NTR family member Daggubati Purandeswari is in the BJP and there is no question of she taking reins of the TDP. The other members of the NTR family are not in politics. That leaves only Junior NTR. So Balineni is clear about what he is saying.
Also, the clamour for NTR is growing by each passing day. MLAs like Gorantla Butchaiah Chowdary and the voters of Kuppam are demanding NTR to join active politics. But the interesting question is why is a YSRCP stalwart rooting for NTR. After all, Balineni is no ordinary politician. He is Jagan's family member and a senior of several decades experience.
Analysts say that Balineni and other YSRCP leaders want NTR to take over only to weaken Nara Lokesh. Even otherwise, NTR and Lokesh are not on best of terms and there is no love lost between them. By demanding NTR's return, they want to drive a wedge between the pro and anti NTR groups in the TDP. Let's wait and see if the TDP makes a forced error.
