Why Everyone Is Talking About Vikarabad?

The small town of Vikarabad is in the news for all the wrong reasons. This small town is now the fastest growing Corona hotspot of the state after the Old City of Hyderabad. Vikarabad, which had just about 10 cases till recently, has seen a massive jump and today there are over 38 Corona positive cases.
The first case was reported on April 10 and on Sunday alone, four new cases were reported. One Corona positive person had died while under treatment. Shockingly, a large number of the patients are linked to those who attended the Markaz meet in New Delhi. Seven of the 19 persons who attended the Markaz tested Corona positive and one such person sold vegetables, thus infecting many people. This one person is said to have infected at least 25 persons. Not just that, as many as 30 of the 37 positive cases are from Vikarabad town alone. Almost all the members of a politician's family have been tested Corona positive and have been sent to Gandhi hospital for isolation and treatment.
The Government has now declared the whole district as a Red Zone and is implementing the lockdown in the strictest manner possible. Colonies like Rikshaw Nagar are reporting many cases.
