The TRS is said to have kept a close watch on the second and third level party workers in Dubbak, which is now locked in a prestigious bypoll that the TRS must win at all costs. TRS poll wizard and minister T Harish Rao, who is spearheading the TRS campaign in Dubbak, has realized that some party workers at the grassroots level are getting in touch with the Congress and the BJP to work out better deals.
These leaders will remain in the TRS, take part in the campaign, but will ensure that their supporters do not vote for TRS candidate Solipeta Sujathamma. Many of these grassroots level leaders are opposed to Solipeta family's domination in Dubbak. They are also pally with Congress candidate because of their personal equations with either BJP's Raghunandan Rao or Cheruku Srinivas Reddy, the Congress candidate.
Harish Rao is said to be monitoring the movements of his ground-level cadre with the help of a team of spies. These spies are tailing the leaders and are keeping a tab on their movements. In many cases, Harish Rao is personally talking to the errant leaders to bring them back. He is said to be using both the carrot and the stick to convince them and bring them back.
