The way the CBI has revealed the names of some top TRS money bags and other key leaders in the Delhi excise policy scam indicates that the BJP has begun the process of dismantling the TRS party's financial infrastructure.
In the latest revelations on the Delhi excise policy, the CBI has said that KCR's MLC daughter Kalwakuntla Kavitha's husband's relatives, a Rajya Sabha MP of the TRS, an MLA and some funders of the party were deeply involved with the lobby that is controlling the liquor business in Delhi. Two BJP MPs – Manjinder Singh and Parvesh Varma said that Kavitha and some of her inner circle members daily attended the lobby that formulated Delhi's new liquor policy.
Internal sources say that the BJP has got concrete information about Kavitha's involvement in Delhi's liquor trade. It is only after securing concrete evidence that the BJP has begun speaking. The aim is not just limited to corner the Aam Aadmi Party in Delhi, but also to weaken the financial muscle of the TRS, which has of late been critical of the BJP and voted against its candidates in the presidential and vice-presidential elections.

If the financial infrastructure is decimated, defeating the TRS would not be a problem, sources say.
