Why Is Congress Losing Telangana Leaders?
By: Tupaki Desk | 25 July 2018 7:49 AM GMTCongress Party is facing a strange problem. It has no future in Andhra Pradesh. But, the leaders are joining the Congress Party in drones. In Telangana, the party is better placed. It is challenging the ruling TRS. It is gathering steam by each passing day. But, senior leaders are trying to leave the party.
In Andhra Pradesh, leaders like Kiran Kumar Reddy have joined the party and are trying to bring back those who left the party in 2014. But, In Telangana, already former minister Danam Nagender has already left the party and at least two more big leaders are now trying to leave the party. Former minister Mukesh and his son Vikram Goud are set to leave the party and the Congress is frantically trying to convince them to stay back. Similarly, former deputy chief minister Damodar Raja Narasimha too is planning to look for greener pastures. The Congress high command has sent Bosu Raju to talk to him and convince him not to leave the party. Isn't it strange that the party is facing defections in a state where it has better chances?
Sources say the Congress leaders from Hyderabad and Medak are miffed that the leaders from Nalgonda and Mahaboobnagar are dominating the state politics and are leaving them with little to do. In fact, Mukesh Goud is said to have expressed this feeling to an AICC representative.
