Another TRS leader has termed those protesting during his public tour as 'dogs.' This again has kicked up a controversy over the abusive verbal attacks by politicians. On Saturday, minister Indrakaran Reddy was in Nirmal to inaugurate Rythu Vedika. But, a large number of farmers and rural people staged a protest at the site.
The farmers and the rural people were protesting against the government not doing anything for their rehabilitation and resettlement. These farmers had lost their lands due to the construction of the Sadarsat project. They demanded that the minister help them and ensure that they get the rehabilitation package. The minister lost his cool and shouted at them. He said not even dogs would give them any respect. The protesters were further enraged by the minister's remarks.
The otherday, speaking at Halia, CM KCR had also called the protesters at his public meeting as dogs. He said the protesters were like dogs and that he would not be cowed down by their protests. This comment has gone viral on social media and has pushed the TRS into defensive mode.
