Why is Rasamayi Balkishan not singing?

Think Rasamayi Balkishan, his gusty, foot-tapping folk numbers come to mind. His wonderful numbers in Telangana lingo are always a delight to listen and experience. It is this ability that catapulted him in politics and made him an MLA from Manakonduru. But, these days, Rasamayi is limiting himself to brief speeches and strictly no songs.
Rasamayi's constituency of Manakondur abuts Eatala Rajender's Huzurabad. Naturally, he is a regular fixture in the TRS programmes in Huzurabad. Every day, he attends two to three meetings in Huzurabad constituency. But, strangely, he has only made brief, to-the-point speeches and did not sing even a single song. Despite requests from party seniors like Capt Lakshmikantha Rao, he has not sung even one song. Sources say he is unhappy for two reasons. Firstly, Eatala is his good old friend and the friendship began even before the Telangana movement begun. So, he is not happy speaking against Eatala. Secondly, sources say that though each party MLA has been made incharge of some mandal or the other in Huzurabad, Rasamayi has not been given any such responsibility.
Quite interestingly, Rasamayi Balkishan was among those handful of MLAs who met at Bengaluru to discuss the autocratic behavior of KCR and KTR. Sources say that he is apprehensive that he could be the next target of KCR. Hence this silence, the sources argue.
