Why Modi Met President At Rastrapathi Bhavan, Amid Tense Situation?

Prime Minister Narendra Modi met President Ram Nath Kovind at the Rashtrapati Bhavan on Sunday. The meeting gained a lot of significance as Modi met the President one week after his Leh visit.
It has been widely reported that the duo met at the Rashtrapati Bhavan to discuss various National and International issues, including the escalating border tensions with China.
Soon after the meeting, the President's office took to Twitter to tweet about the meeting. President's office shared a picture of President Kovind with PM Modi.
Last week, PM Modi visited Leh, capital of Union Territory Ladakh to meet the Indian troops. While addressing teh troops, PM Modi lauded tye bravery displayed by the troops and hailed their determination.
