Why no Lockdown in US? This Indian Doctor Tells You Why?

While the whole world agrees that Lockdown is the best way to contain the Corona virus, why is the US not announcing a lockdown? Despite all the Corona positive cases mounting and the number of deaths piling up, the US has decided not to announce a lockdown. Why? This is the question that is being hotly debated across the globe.

But, ask Dr Ravi Nallamothu, director at the South East Hospitals in the Alabama state of the US, he has an interesting explanation. According to him, it is the spending pattern of the average Americans that is responsible. Dr Ravi Nallamothu says that the US citizens are used to spending extensively. They do not save anything. So, if they do not get their salaries due to the lockdown, their economy will come down crashing. He said that the life has already come to a standstill in the US, he says. Dr Ravi said that the situation is very grave in the US. He said he was called back to the US from his vacation in India. He said that India, which has a weaker health infrastructure, has done the best thing by announcing a lockdown.

If Dr Nallamothu is to be believed, the US needs at least one month to contain the Corona spread. It will take quite some time to ensure that there is not a single new case.
