Non-Bailable Warrant For Nimmagadda! Why?

CBI Special Court issued Non-Bailable Warrant to Nimmagadda Prasad. This well-known Industrialist was supposed to appear in the CBI Court in connection with case filed by Enforcement Directorate regarding Indu Tech issue. He, however, couldn't do so after Serbia Police took him into custody few weeks ago.
During the hearing, Nimmagadda Prasad's Counsel informed the CBI Court about the unexpected development happened in Serbia when his client was on a vacation. An exemption was sought for Nimmagadda from appearing in the court. However, Judge issued a non-bailable warrant as Nimmagadda skipped the hearing and his Lawyer failed to move any petition seeking exemption from appearing in the court.
Nimmagadda's Counsel admits not moving a petition Under Section 317 of Criminal Proceedings Act due to lack of information about Nimmagadda Prasad after his arrest. This could be a strategic move by the Lawyers to facilitate deportation of Nimmagadda who is in the custody of Serbia. Arrest Warrant issued by the Special CBI Court could pave way for the return of the Industrialist to India.
