Why Revanth Reddy is giving sleepless nights to BJP in Telangana?
By: Tupaki Desk | 24 July 2021 12:56 PM GMTWho is most worried about TPCC chief Revanth Reddy's mercurial moves? Not the ruling TRS and not even the dissidents within the Congress Party. It is the BJP which is worried most. Revanth Reddy's actions are causing deep concern in the minds of the BJP leaders, who feel that he is actually pushing the BJP to the third place in Telangana.
The BJP leaders and strategists are watching Revanth's moves with a lot of alarm. They are keeping a tab on who Revanth is meeting these days. He is said to be in touch with several leaders in the BJP and has been enticing them to join the Congress Party. He has reportedly approached several former Congressmen who are currently in the BJP. He is said to have offered them plum posts if they came back into the Congress Party.
Reports said that he had met former minister Peddireddy, who is actually from the TDP. He is unhappy at the entry of Eatala Rajender into the BJP. Peddireddy too comes from Huzurabad and has been an MLA from the constituency for one term. He feels that Eatala's arrival would weaken his position in the party.
Sources say that former Congress leaders such as Boda Janardha, Chada Suresh Reddy and former minister Mukesh Goud's son Vikram Goud, who are currently in the BJP, are in touch with Revanth Reddy. There are reports that these leaders might resign from the BJP and rejoin the Congress Party. Revanth, a former TDP leader himself, is said to have opened communication lines with the leaders who came into the BJP from the TDP. Even these leaders could resign from the BJP, sources said. The BJP is worried that if all these leaders leave the party, the party would be emaciated and would become powerless.
