Why RSS Is Back To Its Knickers During Lockdown?

Sometimes, getting recognised is important, more so if you are doing social service in times of Corona crisis. The RSS, which is doing a lot of service work during the lockdown, is facing a similar problem. Despite the service work it is putting up, the people are not recognising them as RSS workers.
The problem lay in the new uniform of the RSS. A couple of years ago, RSS has changed its uniform from Khaki shorts to khaki pants. But, for most people, the RSS is still identified by the knickers. In full pants, the RSS workers are looking more like some para- military staff. So, the RSS authorities in many states, including Uttar Pradesh ad Delhi have allowed the knickers. The workers are now serving the needy in trade mark khaki knickers. RSS is doing tremendous service work during the lockdown across the country and at many places, it is working in tandem with the local government officials.
Though the RSS claims that it does not need publicity for what it does, optics do matter.The organisation these days is not abstaining from publicity. The RSS workers and their outreach wing are only too happy to talk to the media about what they are doing.
