Why TRS Is Keenly Watching BJP's Bengal Strategy?
By: Tupaki Desk | 21 Dec 2020 1:34 PM ISTThe TRS leadership is keenly watching the BJP's game-plan to grab West Bengal. The party has launched an all-out blitzkrieg on beleaguered Mamta Didi in the state. Several key BJP leaders are currently camping in the state and are touring incessantly. They are organising programmes small and big in the rural areas.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah, who has already been visiting the state for two days every month, has increased it to four days a month from January. This means, he would be touring the state for four days every month. During this period, he will address public meetings and undertake mass contact programme.
The BJP is encouraged by the resignations from the TMC and joining in the BJP. After Suvendu Adhikari joined the BJP, as many as nine MLAs left the TMC. Sources say more TMC leaders are likely to join the BJP in the coming days. So Amit Shah has decided to increase the duration of visit in West Bengal.
The TRS is watching all these very keenly. The party's top leaders feel that the BJP could use the same blitzkrieg technique in Telangana too. It has shown a glimpse of this during the GHMC elections when scores of national leaders descended on Hyderabad to keep the political rivals confused. The strategy paid rich dividends for the party. So, TRS sources feel that the BJP would use the same technique in Telangana and is learning on how to counter the saffron party.
